Membership types:

Physicians and Dentists Membership: Members must be Syrians or of Syrian descent and board certified or eligible physicians or dentists in the United States or Canada.
Allied Healthcare Professionals Membership: Members must be Syrians or of Syrian descent and licensed or certified healthcare professionals in the United States or Canada.
In-Training Membership: Members must be Syrians or of Syrian descent medical residents, or healthcare students in the United States or Canada.
Affiliate Membership: Medical professionals who do not qualify for membership in the Society in any of the existing membership categories (for example: Non-Syrians).
Friends of SAMS Membership: Any individual supporting SAMS while not being a healthcare provider.
